Are You Ready to Change Your Life?
Individual therapy is a time to focus on yourself, your strengths and your weaknesses. Through several assessments given in the initial phase of your treatment, as well as information that you gproovide, we will be able to arrive at a treatment plan for growth, healing, and awareness. At the treatment planning stage, generally during the second session, you will be given an estimate of how much your treatment will take.
Through such techniques as Eye Movement Desensitation and Reprocessing (EMDR), clinical hypnosis, Voice Dialogue, and Cognitive Restructuring, you will find relief (in most cases) from such disorders as Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, Co-dependency, Repressed Memories, anxiety, depression, etc.
If it appears that you or your adolescent has Attention Deficit Disorder, I will talk with you about further testing, treatment approaches, and either medication or holistic remedies.
Sessions are either 50 or 75 minutes each, and usually on a weekly basis. For those of you on a fixed working schedule, a regular day and time will be allotted for you each week.
During your first session, you will be given more information on Office Policies and Procedures, as well as guidelines to help move your therapy along, fees, phone calls, and other related issues.
Please see: About Us and Frequently Asked Questions for more information or contact us to make an appointment.
If you feel that you may be depressed, you may want to print out the Depression Inventory, score yourself, and bring it with you to your first session. If you prefer, I will screen you for depression during the diagnostic interview at the first session.
